David Boswell, a retired car mechanic and classic car enthusiast from Aberystwyth, has donated five thousand pounds to the Wales Air Ambulance. InYourArea reported that the emergency helicopter service flew Mr Boswell directly to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff after he suffered a stroke and a bleed on his brain. [1]

The regional fundraising manager Emily Bell recently visited Mr Boswell at his workshop to receive the five thousand pound donation. According to InYourArea, the money will help fund crucial equipment and crew journeys for patients facing life threatening emergencies across the country. [1]

As HEROIC BREAKING NEWS reported earlier in a separate case of medical gratitude, former Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech also publicly thanked the emergency medical staff who saved his life following a severe skull fracture in 2006. [2]
