A Sheffield father who suffered life-threatening injuries in a single-punch attack in December 2021 recovered in time to walk his daughter down the aisle just two months later, Yorkshire Live reported. Craig Brunt was hit from behind during a night out in the city, which left him temporarily paralysed and in need of multiple brain surgeries. [1]

Despite the severe physical trauma, Mr Brunt achieved his long-standing dream of walking his daughter, Sophie, down the aisle at her wedding. Yorkshire Live reported that the milestone took place just eight weeks after the assault. [1]

Nearly five years after the incident, Mr Brunt and his family reunited with Casey, a Yorkshire Ambulance Service crew member who helped save his life. The Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust shared a photograph of the family with the paramedic to mark the meeting, according to Yorkshire Live. [1]
