United Arab Emirates Sends Emergency Relief Assistance to Earthquake Victims in Panama

The United Arab Emirates launched an urgent humanitarian relief response on October 24, 2026, to assist communities impacted by a recent earthquake in Panama, Sharjah24 reported. The operation was authorized by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to assist people in areas affected by property damage and widespread evacuations. [1][2][3]

According to Sharjah24, the UAE Aid Agency is carrying out the mission directly. The emergency relief effort focuses on providing shelter materials and essential supplies to affected residents across the country. [1]

The aid initiative follows a magnitude 7.7 earthquake that struck Panama on October 9, as HEROIC BREAKING NEWS reported earlier. That disaster prompted international relief actions, including the dispatch of 20 Urban Search and Rescue personnel from the United States and 40 tons of rescue equipment from Venezuela. [1][6]

The response forms part of an established effort by the United Arab Emirates to supply international assistance to nations facing natural disasters, according to Sharjah24. [1]
