Three men saved a three-year-old girl from a burning fourth-floor apartment in Gashie, Kiambu County, on Saturday around 5 pm, Tuko News reported. Children playing outside spotted smoke from the building and quickly alerted a local teacher, who called for help. [1]

According to Tuko News, the rescuers forced open a gate and climbed the staircase through thick smoke and intense heat to reach the child. They managed to carry the toddler down to safety, although they were unable to reach her two sisters trapped further inside. [1]

The father of the children was working at a nearby construction site when he received news of the fire. The father stated that he had left the three children resting in the home while he was at work, according to Tuko News. [1]
