British mother dies after rescuing her two sons in the Bahamas

A 36-year-old British woman has drowned after successfully saving her two young sons who were caught in strong ocean currents while snorkelling in the Bahamas.

A British mother has died after rescuing her two children from rough waters in the Bahamas, according to reports by The Sun, People.com, and LBC. Leanne Gregory, aged 36, was snorkelling with her family on a holiday trip when a strong current swept her sons away. [1][3][4]

The Sun and LBC reported that the two boys were saved from the ocean after getting into trouble in choppy waters. However, Leanne Gregory was subsequently found unresponsive in the water after the rescue. [1][3]

According to The Sun, her husband Nathan Gregory attempted to give his wife mouth-to-mouth resuscitation in an effort to save her life. His mother, Kim Jones, told The Telegraph that the incident was devastating and confirmed that the mother drowned while saving her sons. [1]

The Daily Mirror and the Daily Star both reported on the tragedy, confirming the identity of the British mother who lost her life during the family holiday. [2][5]
