Westcliff University surf coach Lucas Taub rescued a father and his six-year-old daughter who were struggling in a rip current in Southern California.

Surf team coach Lucas Taub saved a father and his six-year-old daughter from a rip current in Southern California, ABC News reported. Taub, the head coach of the Westcliff University surf team, was coaching at the Western Surfing Association Oceanside Harbor South Jetty surf contest when he saw the two in danger. [1]
According to ABC News, Taub noticed six-year-old Coco Greene bobbing up and down in the water. He realized she was struggling in the current and saw her father, Chris Greene, trailing nearby as they were pulled by the ocean. [1]
Taub immediately took action to enter the water and reach Greene and his daughter, according to ABC News. The intervention successfully brought the father of four and his young child safely out of the dangerous rip current. [1]
