Las Vegas-based defense engineering and manufacturing company SAFE Structure Designs is backing the non-profit group 50 Legs as a financial donor, according to News-Medical and TPI Media Group. The engineering company is led by President and Chief Executive Officer Johnny Buscema. TPI Media Group reported that 50 Legs was founded by Steve Chamberland. [1][2]
News-Medical reported that 50 Legs is based in Clearwater, Florida. The non-profit organization provides professionally fitted prosthetic legs and personal support to children and adults experiencing limb loss to assist them in regaining mobility, independence, and personal confidence. [1][2]
SAFE Structure Designs aims to raise public awareness of the charity's mission. News-Medical noted that the company hopes sharing the work of 50 Legs will encourage additional businesses and individual donors to contribute to the effort. [1]
The effort builds on global initiatives providing prosthetic care to amputees.
