Volunteer crew sails hundreds of donated prosthetic legs to France
A volunteer sailing crew has delivered hundreds of donated prosthetic limbs from Falmouth to France to support amputees across Africa.

A volunteer crew from Sailors Creek CIC sailed hundreds of prosthetic legs from Falmouth to Normandy between October 13 and October 15. Yahoo News UK reported that the shipment was part of an effort to transport the limbs to amputees living in Africa. [1]
The prosthetic limbs were originally donated by hospitals across the United Kingdom. According to Yahoo News UK, the Penryn-based amputee charity STAND collected the donated equipment before organizing the transport. [1]
