A total of 650 amputees across Fiji are expected to benefit from the 2026 Jaipur Foot Camp, according to Fijivillage. The initiative is fully funded by the Government of India and was officially inaugurated at the Tamavua Twomey Hospital. [1]

Fijivillage reported that the Central Division camp at Tamavua Twomey Hospital runs from October 6 to October 21 and aims to assist 220 amputees. Health Minister Doctor Ratu Atonio Lalabalavu stated that receiving a prosthetic limb allows individuals to walk independently, return to work, pursue education, and participate fully in society. As HEROIC BREAKING NEWS reported earlier, the initiative is implemented by BMVSS to help Fijian amputees regain their independence. Medical technicians previously manufactured and fitted 21 prosthetic limbs in a single day during the camp. [3][4]
