Medical specialists have fitted 110 prosthetic limbs in Fiji as part of the 2026 Jaipur Foot Camp, according to FBC News. The team started work on October 6 and aims to fit a total of 650 prostheses during the campaign. Organizers are currently holding sessions across Suva, Labasa, and Nadi, with operations scheduled to wrap up in Nadi on November 26. [1]

Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti President Satish Mehta stated that 651 individuals have registered for the camp, FBC News reported. Mehta noted that technicians produced and fitted 21 prosthetic limbs in one day. The organization plans to accommodate extra patients who present themselves before the camp ends. [1]

The Jaipur foot is a rubber-based prosthetic leg developed in 1968 by Ram Chandra Sharma and orthopedic surgeon P. K. Sethi for individuals with below-knee amputations. It provides a cost-effective and adaptable option for patient rehabilitation. [2]
