Rescue teams save three workers after building slab collapses in Maharashtra

Rescue teams pulled three workers from rubble on October 30 after the roof slab of an under-construction commercial building collapsed on Jalna Road in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, according to The Times of India and The News Mill. Operations are ongoing to locate one additional worker who is feared trapped underneath the debris. [1][2]

The incident occurred in the Chikalthana area while workers were pouring concrete for the first-floor roof, The Times of India reported. Preliminary findings indicate that the iron support pipes bent under the heavy weight of the fresh concrete, causing the entire slab structure to collapse. [1]

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, formerly known as Aurangabad, is located in the Indian state of Maharashtra and serves as the administrative headquarters of the Aurangabad district. [3]

Emergency crews continue search operations at the site to ensure all individuals involved in the collapse are safely accounted for. [1][2]
