Federal and local law enforcement officers safely rescued an 11-year-old child from Ohio during a joint operation in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, on Sunday, October 25. The FBI Nashville Field Office and the Murfreesboro Police Department arrested 26-year-old Dylan Osborne after witnessing a sexual advance toward the child during a stakeout, according to WZTV. [1]
Authorities stated that the investigation began when FBI agents in Cleveland alerted Nashville officials that Osborne had allegedly connected with the child online for sexual purposes. Osborne reportedly picked up the child in Willard, Ohio, before transporting the child across state lines into Tennessee, WZTV reported. [1]
Officers moved into Osborne's apartment under emergency circumstances to intervene, according to WZTV. Law enforcement took Osborne into custody at the scene, and the child was safely recovered without further harm. [1]
Osborne now faces charges of child rape in connection with the incident, WZTV reported. The successful interposition by law enforcement prevented further harm, and the rescued child has been brought to safety. [1]
