The Jamestown Rotary Club installed 100 flags at the soccer field in front of the local community center to honor area veterans and community heroes, the UC Now reported. The display began on Friday and will remain visible along Highway 127 through November 15. [1]
Rotary Club member Crystal Tompkins told the UC Now that each flag represents a specific individual named on it. Tompkins explained that the initiative serves as a fundraiser while raising community awareness for veterans and influential figures. Rotary Club member Kara Brannon stated that the soccer field lights remain illuminated at night so visitors can see the flags after dark. [1]
Organizations across various regions frequently organize tributes to recognize community contributors. HEROIC BREAKING NEWS reported earlier that Everybody Health and Leisure held the annual Everybody Awards at Cranage Estate to honor sports and health contributors in Cheshire East, while United States Representative Tom Kean Jr recognized 30 first responders during an annual Hometown Heroes event in Clark, New Jersey.
