UN News reported that the Ebola outbreak reached an eighth province in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as investigators work to assess the risk of the disease spreading to Nigeria. [1][3][4]

Kenya previously traced 28 contacts following its first confirmed Ebola death in Nairobi in a patient who arrived from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as HEROIC BREAKING NEWS reported earlier. [9][10]

The Ebola virus disease incubation period ranges from 2 to 21 days following exposure, with initial symptoms including high fever, severe headache, and muscle pain.
