World Vision Reports Three Years of Emergency Aid in West Bank

World Vision International reported on 16 October 2026 that its emergency response program in the West Bank assisted children and families over a three year period from October 2023 to September 2026. The aid organization stated that the effort targeted communities affected by escalating violence, displacement, and restricted access to essential services. [1]

World Vision International detailed that the program provided emergency assistance, education, emergency healthcare, and mental health and psychosocial support. To execute the response, the group worked with local partners, healthcare providers, and Civil Defence volunteers to strengthen local capacity to respond during critical situations. [1]

UN News reported that the United Nations Security Council held an open debate on Thursday regarding the situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. The report noted an increase in demolitions, lethal strikes, and violence in Gaza and the West Bank. [4]

The West Bank is a landlocked territory situated on the western bank of the Jordan River. Bordered by Jordan and the Dead Sea to the east, and by Israel to the south, west, and north, the territory has been under Israeli occupation since 1967. [10]
