Humanitarian relief efforts continued in Syria's Deir Ezzor Governorate for a second consecutive day following a heavy rainstorm and flooding, Howl.Link reported. The Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor worked alongside the Syrian Arab Red Crescent to carry out emergency operations for affected local residents. [1]

According to Howl.Link, relief teams operating under the regional Emergency Response Committee provided assistance in the villages of Hribsha and Kabajib. Emergency workers distributed food and non-food supplies to 181 families in the area to address their immediate health and basic living requirements. [1]

Deir ez-Zor is the largest city in eastern Syria and serves as the capital of the Deir ez-Zor Governorate, located along the Euphrates River approximately 450 kilometers northeast of Damascus. [2]

The response in Syria follows similar emergency interventions recorded across the region, as HEROIC BREAKING NEWS reported earlier when agencies provided aid to families displaced by natural disruptions in other countries. [1][5]
