The initiative was facilitated by the university's Emergency Medical Care team in partnership with Rescue South Africa, the Missionvale Care Centre, and ATA International, with sponsorship provided by Standard Bank. [1]

Nelson Mandela University reported that participants were assessed on essential techniques, including infant, child, and adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation, shock management, wound care, splinting, fracture management, and the proper use of a spinal board.
