Army veteran seeks generous stranger who gifted cards at Riverhead Costco

Army veteran John Christina is seeking to locate a woman who surprised him and a fellow former soldier with gift cards at a Riverhead Costco on Oct. 6, Riverhead News Review reported. Mr. Christina was eating at the store food court when he noticed another former soldier sitting alone and asked to join him. [1]

According to Riverhead News Review, Mr. Christina brought a slice of pizza to the table so the two men could talk about their years in military service. Mr. Christina serves as the post historian for Southold's Griswold-Terry-Glover American Legion Post 803. [1]

While the men were eating and speaking together, a woman sitting behind them overheard their conversation, Riverhead News Review reported. She tapped Mr. Christina on the shoulder and handed both veterans a 50 dollar Costco gift card to express her appreciation for their service. [1]
