East Midlands homelessness charity Framework has marked 25 years of service, Lincolnshire Live reported. Charity leaders noted that while they are proud to support those in need, it remains a shame that their work is still so necessary. Framework provides community support, temporary accommodation, and specialist drug and alcohol services to individuals who are homeless or facing the risk of homelessness. [1]
The charity estimates that it has assisted 25,000 people across the region over the past quarter of a century, according to Lincolnshire Live. To highlight this milestone, an exhibition has been launched featuring personal stories from former rough sleepers who credit the organization with helping them turn their lives around. [1]
One former service user, 23-year-old Ruby from Lincoln, described how Framework helped her regain stability, Lincolnshire Live reported. After experiencing trauma from a sexual assault, she spent time moving between various hotels and hostels before receiving targeted support from the charity to rebuild her life. [1]
Framework staff explained that their work supporting people at risk of homelessness is becoming increasingly complex, according to Lincolnshire Live. The charity continues to operate across the East Midlands to help thousands of vulnerable individuals every year. [1]
