Bystander stabbed after stepping in to stop shoplifter in Kilburn

A 58-year-old man was stabbed inside a Boots pharmacy on Kilburn High Road after intervening to help staff stop a shoplifter, My London reported. Emergency services were called to the scene in North West London at approximately 10.30am on Friday, October 30. [1]

According to My London, officers from the Metropolitan Police responded alongside the London Ambulance Service. They located the victim, who had suffered stab wounds, and transported him to a nearby hospital for treatment. [1]

The victim had stepped in alongside security guards in an effort to prevent the theft. Police stated that the suspect fled the scene and remains at large, with officers hunting for them as a matter of urgency. The pharmacy store remained open and traded as usual following the incident. [1]

This incident follows a separate event in Woolwich where a 32-year-old man was critically injured while attempting to de-escalate a road rage dispute, as HEROIC BREAKING NEWS reported earlier. Police later arrested a 48-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with that case. [4]
