Police arrest suspect after father shot attempting to stop road dispute

Police have arrested a 48-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder following the shooting of a father who stepped in to resolve a road rage argument, the Daily Mail reported. The 32-year-old victim was shot multiple times on Frances Street in Woolwich, south London, after attempting to defuse a confrontation between two motorists. [1]

The Daily Mail reported that the suspect was taken into custody on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. The victim, who is a father of four, had pulled over his vehicle to mediate the disagreement between the two drivers, but shots were fired at him as he attempted to get back into his car. [1]
