Somerset Council honours 49 community volunteers at annual awards ceremony

Somerset Council honoured 49 volunteers, community groups, and youth representatives at the Chairman's Service to the Community Awards, according to the Somerset County Gazette. The ceremony took place at Taunton Rugby Club and was hosted by Somerset Council chair Councillor Mike Best. The recipients were nominated by city, town, and parish councils from across the county. Local recognition for community service has been highlighted elsewhere in recent weeks.
