Phoenix firefighters stabilize truck and rescue man from backyard sinkhole

Emergency technical rescue crews in Phoenix, Arizona, successfully rescued an injured man from a six-foot backyard sinkhole on November 1 at approximately 3:00 p.m., according to The Cool Down. The Phoenix Fire Department responded to the emergency at a residence situated near 24th Street and Thomas Road, as reported by FOX 10 Phoenix. [1]

The emergency response was complicated because a pickup truck was hanging partially inside the opening of the sinkhole, as reported by The Cool Down. According to The Cool Down, the man suffered a chest injury as a result of falling roughly six feet into the ground.
