Dr. James Ham, an emergency medicine physician at Straub Benioff Medical Center in Honolulu, helped save a patient named Nate after he suffered a life-threatening heart attack. Hawaii News Now reported that the patient arrived at the emergency room with chest pain in early February. [1]

The patient suffered from a type of heart attack known as a widowmaker and flatlined three times in the emergency room. Hawaii News Now reported that medical staff intervened to revive him during the critical emergency. [1]

The sister of the patient, Kelly Golden, said Dr. Ham brought comfort and peace to the high-stress environment during the crisis. She credited the physician with saving her brother's life. [1]

As HEROIC BREAKING NEWS reported earlier, emergency doctors frequently respond to sudden critical incidents, such as when a physician in Surat left a festival late at night to save a patient on a ventilator. [2]
