The Lexicon town centre in Bracknell has opened a special pop-up shop and community art display for remembrance, InYourArea reported. The venue is welcoming back the Royal British Legion’s annual Poppy Shop to give local residents a place to pay their respects and support armed forces personnel. [1]

The temporary shop allows visitors to buy traditional poppies and unique gifts, according to InYourArea. It is open every day from 10am to 4pm until November 6, with funds raised supporting service members, veterans, and their families. [1]

Alongside the pop-up shop, visitors can view a public art display featuring 2,000 handmade crochet poppies, InYourArea reported. The installation was created by local community group Crafting Smiles to commemorate those who served. [1]

Red poppies are widely recognized across the United Kingdom as a symbol of remembrance for military personnel who died in war. Veterans' associations produce artificial poppies to exchange for charitable donations, which fund practical and financial support for armed forces members. [2][3]
