Thailand's Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation under the Ministry of Interior has advised residents to prepare emergency kits for natural disasters and unexpected incidents, VnExpress International reported. The department recommended on Monday that every household maintain essential supplies to cover basic needs during the first 72 hours after an emergency. [1]

The recommendation was also reported by Khaosod English, Nation Thailand, Vietnam+, and Vietnam.vn. Disaster officials stressed a message of public readiness without alarm, urging citizens to remain aware while avoiding panic. Officials noted that the first three days are critical for self-protection while government relief efforts are mobilized. [1][2][3][4][5][6]

According to VnExpress International and Nation Thailand, the department outlined specific categories of essential items recommended for inclusion in each household emergency bag. The guidelines aim to keep families self-sufficient until emergency services arrive. [1][4]
