Artist Jane Marsching has launched an interactive community project called Tree Care Hyde Park in a Boston neighborhood experiencing tree loss, CS Monitor reported. The project provides opportunities for local residents to forge connections with the surrounding urban greenery. [1]

During a recent gathering, 11 people met in a circle to participate in the interactive art experience, CS Monitor reported. Ms. Marsching wore an apron printed with white leaves and hummed beneath a linden tree, which featured a cloth tag urging participants to hum in harmony with nature. [1]

The event brought nature engagement directly into an active urban setting filled with street noise, according to CS Monitor. A passing vehicle played loud music and nearby repair work created street sounds as residents gathered around the trees. [1]

The city of Boston in Massachusetts was originally settled in 1630 under the Massachusetts Bay Colony royal charter. The city is home to the Boston Common, a 50-acre public park that is the oldest city park in the United States. [2][3]
